David J. Byrne and Stephen M. Lasser, Shareholders in Stark & Stark's Co-Op & Condominium Group, presented materials related to the challenging & uncertain economic times, and how co-ops and condominiums can better manage their costs & risks.  More specifically, Mr. Byrne discussed how co-ops and condominiums can solve problems without litigation & legal fees and avoiding litigation.  Mr. Lasser focused his presentation on how co-ops and condominiums can improve the collection of carry charges.  Joining Mr. Byrne and Mr. Lasser in this presentation were Mr. Edward Mackoul, Mackoul & Associates, Inc. and Mr. Stephen Beer, CPA, Czarnowski & Beer, LLP.  Mr. Mackoul discussed how to better manage premiums and minimizing risk.  Mr. Beer discussed audits and how to better preserve funds.  The presentation occurred on January 15, 2009, at the Roosevelt Hotel, in New York City.  The seminar was moderated by Andrea Bunis, President of Andrea Bunis Management.
